Power feeder module
The number and the types of SWD modules determine the volume of data to
be transferred and the current consumption.
You can use power feed modules if your application has a higher power con-
sumption than the device provides, or if the cable length of the SWD line
causes an increased voltage drop. Calculation examples are provided in the
"SmartWire-DT The System", MN05006002Z.
Power feeder modules are power supply units that are connected addition-
ally to the SmartWire-DT when there is an increased current consumption or
increased voltage drop. Being a passive SWD element, a power feeder mod-
ule does not have a module address.
The EU5C-SWD-PF1 power feeder module feeds the 24 V DC supply voltage
for contactors on the SWD line.
The EU5C-SWD-PF2 power feeder module feeds both the 24 V DC supply
voltage for contactors as well as the 15 V DC supply voltage for other SWD
modules on the SWD line.
