6.1 Manufacturer function blocks
6.1.3.3 CP – Comparator
General
easyE4 base devices provide 32 comparator function blocks
(Compare) CP01 to CP32.
Comparators are used to compare variables and constants
with each other and output the relationship between them:
Less than / Equal to / Greater than.
Operating principle
The function block compares values present at the inputs I1 and I2. The following con-
tacts close depending on the comparison result:

I1 greater than I2, GT contact closes.
l
I1 equal to I2, EQ contact closes.
l
I1 less than I2, LT contact closes.
