15. MAINTENANCE
15.1 Maintenance recommendations and warnings

Once the automatic gate opener has been tested, the parameters must not be changed. If subsequent changes
are made (e.g. change of voltage value), ALL CHECKS REQUIRED FOR TESTING AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE
STANDARDS MUST BE REPEATED.
•
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for any damage or injuries caused by failure to observe the
information given in this manual and the safety instructions specified below.
•
The manufacturer bears no responsibility for damage and malfunctions resulting from non-compliance with
the maintenance recommendations.
•
Follow the cleaning, inspection, and routine maintenance procedures outlined in this manual to keep the
device efficient and safe.
•

•
Always turn off the power supply in the event of faults and malfunctions and before performing any actions, to
prevent gate activation.
•
Always disconnect the power supply from the device before performing any maintenance or cleaning activities.
•
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its Technical Assistance Department
or, in any case, by a similarly qualified person to avoid any risk.
•
It is not allowed to make technical or software modifications to the control unit. Changes may cause
malfunctions and/or increase the risk of an accident.
•
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage caused by modified products.
•
If circuit breakers or fuses trip, eliminate the fault before allowing the device to start working again.
•
If a fault cannot be repaired by following the information contained in this manual, contact the Manufacturer

Technical Assistance Department.
16. DISASSEMBLY AND DISPOSAL
•
The automatic gate opener is constructed with varied materials, so different disposal procedures have to be
adopted. Consult the regulations in force in the country where the device is installed, in particular concerning
buffer batteries (if present).
•
If batteries are present, they must be removed from the control unit before disposal. Disconnect the control unit
from the power supply before removing the battery.
•
Contact companies qualified for proper disposal of the device or its parts.
ATTENTION: disconnecting the device from the mains power supply must be performed by a qualified electrician
and with appropriate tools.
This symbol means that the product must not be disposed of with household waste,
in accordance with the WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) and/or the applicable local
regulations.
When purchasing a similar new product, the product must be delivered to a
designated collection point, such as the retailer or an authorised collection centre
recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment.
Incorrect handling of this type of waste can negatively affect the environment and
human health due to the potentially harmful substances it usually contains.
