Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by chil-
dren without supervision.
■
The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer
or a separate telecontrol system.
■
The device must always be disconnected from the power supply
if there is no supervision, before
fi lling or emptying the water
tank and before cleaning or changing the lamella insert.
■
Do not make any changes to the device. If the device, the adapt-
er or the power cord are damaged, these parts must be replaced
by the manufacturer, customer service or a similarly quali
fi ed
body (e. g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid hazards.
DANGER – Electrical shock hazard
■ Only use and store the device in enclosed rooms.
■ Never immerse the device, the adapter or the power cord in water or other liquids
and ensure that they cannot fall into water or get wet.
■ Should the device fall into the water, immediately disconnect the power supply. Do
not try to pull the device out of the water while it is connected to the power supply
system! Have the device checked by a specialist workshop before restarting.
■ Never touch the device, the adapter or the power cord with wet hands when these
components are connected to the power supply.
■ Do not insert any metal objects (e. g. knife, tool etc.) into the openings on the device,
because this could cause an electric shock / short circuit.
WARNING – Risk of injury
■ Risk of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from packaging materials.
■ Do not leave small children and animals with the device unattended.
■ Risk of falling! Make sure that the connected power cord is not a tripping hazard.
■ Risk of strangulation! Make sure that the power cord is always out of reach of
small children and animals.
■ Danger of chemical burn from battery acid!
– Batteries can be life-threatening if swallowed. Keep batteries and device out of
reach of small children and animals. If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical
attention immediately.

If a battery leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid; wear protective
gloves if necessary. Should this occur, rinse the affected areas immediately with
plenty of clean water and seek medical attention immediately.
WARNING – Fire hazard
■ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily fl ammable dust or toxic and explo-
sive vapours.
