3.4-2 Electrical Connections for all Solis Units.
Zero Volt ‘Call’
The unit is shipped with a link wire in the zero-volt connector block. This should be
removed and a 2 core wire should be run from the circulation system controller (normally a
wiring centre), through the wiring gland at the rear of the unit and connected to this
connection block.
Controller
The controller should be disconnected at the plug shown above, the cable routed from
the desired position, though the wiring gland and re-connected to the plug. The cable is 3
core and can be run a maximum of 100m.
Power should never be applied to the unit if the controller is disconnected
240V Mains Connection
The Solis unit must be connected to its own Type C MCB
(32Amp for the 17kW and 20Amp for the 11kW) on the consumer
unit via a rotary isolation switch installed in accordance with current
regulations. The cable from the rotary isolation switch should be
routed through the electrical gland on the rear of the unit and
connected to the main voltage connection block shown above.
