BRAKE SYSTEM
The brake system is power assisted hydraulic, front disc type and rear drum type. USE DOT 3 BRAKE FLUID.
STEERING FLUID AND FILL PROCEDURE
The steering system is power assisted hydrostatic type. Power Steering Fluid Equivalent Spec For GM 9985010,
CHRYSLER MS-5931 or FORD ESW-M2C128-C AND D OR 10 Weight Mineral Oil may be used.
If the system has been drained for repair or scheduled maintenance, fill steering reservoir to within 2” of maximum
fill level. With the key in the OFF position, turn the engine over for 30 seconds using a remote start device to ensure
safety. While engaging the remote starter, turn the steering wheel from stop to stop and apply the service brakes.
After 30 seconds of engagement, the fluid level will drop, allowing for refilling. Repeat this process for a total of
three cycles. Top off power steering fluid to within 2” of top of reservoir or to the center of the sight glass (if appli-
cable). Return to service.
