INSTALLATION

Before use, check the following:

1. The

voltage rating

of the power supply must be the same as the

voltage rating of the product to which it is connected.

Connecting a power supply to a product which requires LESS voltage

than the rating of the power supply will damage the product.

A product which requires MORE voltage than the rating of the power

supply is unlikely to work.

Use the rotary switch to select the correct voltage.

2. The

current rating

of the power supply must be equal to or

greater than the current rating of the product to which it is

connected.

Connecting a power supply to a product which requires MORE

current than the rating of the power supply will damage the power

supply.

3. The

polarity

must be correct. The polarity requirement of the

product will be indicated, as to whether the centre pin is positive or

negative.

This symbol means that the centre pin is positive.

+

This symbol means that the centre pin is negative

Select the correct power plug to fit the product. Ensure that the

arrow on the power supply plug points to the correct symbol.

Connecting a product to a power supply with the wrong polarity will

damage the product.

OPERATION

Plug the power supply into a 13 A mains socket. If using an

extension lead, make sure that it is rated at 3 Amps or greater, and

that it is fully unwound. Switch on the unit at the mains socket.

Plug the DC power plug into the power supply socket on the

product.

PAT TESTING.

When used in an office environment, this product must be safety-

tested yearly by a qualified electrician (PAT Tested) in order to

comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations.

We recommend that it is PAT tested regularly when used in a

domestic environment.
