4.6 Driver Comfort and Visibility

4.6.1 Side-View Mirrors

There are mirrors positioned on both the right and left side of the vehicle mounted

on the door post (or the door if the vehicle is so equipped).

The side-view mirrors are

adjusted manually. Your view should be adjusted so that the vehicle’s rear tires are just
visible in the bottom inside corner of the mirror. This will minimize any “blind spots” in
your field of view.

Always check to see if it is clear behind you before changing lanes or backing

up to avoid any collisions or accidents.
