2 Introduction
e-CAM52_35x camera daughter board has been designed and developed by e-con Systems
India Pvt Ltd. The eCAM52_35x camera daughter board uses a 5MP flexible PCB Autofocus
camera module based on OV5640 CMOS sensor from Omnivision. This camera daughter board
can be directly interfaced to the OMAP3530 Evaluation board from Texas Instruments (TI). e-con
Systems also provides Linux and Windows CE camera drivers and sample applications for these
camera daughter boards. This document describes how to interface the e-CAM52_35x camera
daughter board on TI
’s OMAP3530 EVM board and how to use the same.
This camera daughter board is designed for the TI
’sSitara/DaVinci family of processors and can
easily be adapted to interface with other Application Processors with similar CMOS Image sensor
interface.
This camera daughter board is also supplied with the sample applications. The DirectShow
compliant Windows CE camera driver and the Sample Camera Application are provided as is
without any warranties, implied or explicit.
3 Scope
The scope of this document is limited to the description of the camera daughter board and how to
interface this daughter board on the TI OMAP3530 EVM board. This also lists down any
precautions to be taken, if any.
