Coolant level – Check
Check the level with the engine stopped and cold.
Coolant should reach the top level mark (1) in the
radiator expansion vessel.
The coolant is hot and under pressure and
the escaping steam can cause serious
scalding. Open the filler cap carefully to
release the pressure. Wear protective
goggles and protective gloves.
Make sure that cooling air flows freely through the
protective grille to the engine.
