4.4 Optionally available accessories
The paging console DPC 8015 employ three empty slots for retrofitting optional alarm keys or key-lock
switches. For installing an additional alarm key you should only use the EB DPC (Artikel D 121 963)
extension kit. For installing an key-lock switch you should only use the NRS 90231 (Artikel D 121 721)
extension kit. Configuration of additional keys or switches (e.g. for selective alarm or system on/off) is done
via IRIS-Net software.
EB DPC (button with cover)
The EB DPC is a optional emergency button for DPC 8000 paging
consoles. The transparent cover cap avoids accidental operation of the
button. For optical status indication a LED is integrated. The connection of
the button is supervised for short circuit or cable break.
Installation
Following steps describe installation of a EB DPC into the DPC 8015 paging console.
1. Disconnect paging console
2. Remove the paging console bottom plate (1)
3. Disconnect internal connection cord from connector CN1 (2)
4. Prepare mounting position (3) by break-through case from
inside with a sharp tool (e.g. knife, scriber). If required use a
file/rasp to improve the cut-out.
5. Insert button into mounting position and fasten by pushing
evenly on each button side
6. If the right/center/left mounting position is used connect the
interconnection cord (4) to connector CN201/CN202/CN203 on the paging
console board
7. Reconnect internal connection cord to connector CN1 (2)
8. Assemble the paging console bottom plate
9. Reconnect paging console
10.Configure button using IRIS-Net PC software
Key-lock switch (NRS 90231)
The NRS 90231 is an optional key-lock switch for DPC 8000 paging consoles. The connection of the
switch is supervised for short circuit or cable break.
