CONSOLE STAND INSTALLATION
REPLACEMENT USE:
Typical bidet installation includes: wall preparation; installation of hot and cold water supply lines and shutoff valves;
installation of bidet fitting; installation of P-trap drain connection; mounting bidet to flooring; and connection to house
water supply and drain.
Bidet Mounting Provisions –
Bidets are usually installed adjacent to a toilet; if this is done, ensure at least 18
"
(45.7 cm)
floor space be provided between fixtures. Bidets use a pop-up drain, requires a P-trap drain hookup, (a true 1-1/4
"
(32 mm)
bodied “P”-trap, do not use a universal 1-1/4
"
x 1-1/2
"
(32 x 38 mm) trap), and is supplied both hot and cold water. Bidets
are attached directly to flooring with two lag screws at base mounting holes. Also note when installing the Estate bidet a
specific facuet is required.
When replacing an original unit be sure to shut off water supply before removing the unit or disconnecting water supply
lines and drain fittings. Original supply lines and shutoff valves should be replaced and used with fittings and adapters
to match the hookups on the replacement unit.
USE TEFLON SEALANT TAPE ON PIPE THREADS FOR WATERTIGHT CONNECTIONS!
Refer to bidet illustrations. Measure the distance from the finished wall to the center of the drain outlet corresponding to
selected bidet model dimension. Check that the distance between the finished wall to the end of the bidet is compatible
with clearance requirements of your bidet fitting.
Provisions must be made for the installation of a "P" trap in the floor when drain outlet is installed.
It is suggested that the water supplies should be located near the center line of the bidet, approximately 3" (76 mm) to either
side. Wall supply installations must be approximately 7" (178 mm) above the floor and protrude a minimum of 3-1/4" (83 mm)
from the wall. Complete rough-in using angle 3/8" (10 mm) stop valves. If floor supply installation is desired, check dimensions
from finished wall to end of the bidet and rough-in appropriately. Use straight stop valves.
It is recommended that you install the bidet fitting and drain assembly at this time to ease installation.
• Mount bidet to floor using supplied hardware.
• Mark floor locations for installation of Lag Screws
and mounting brackets. Ensure mounting holes on
side of bidet are in line with marked area on floor. (ref diag. a)
• Drill a pilot hole at marked locations for wall anchor
and install anchor.
• Install lag screws, washers into slots of each bracket,
then into anchor. Loosely tighten lag screws but
ensure plastic brackets can still move with little resistance.
• Carefully place bidet over mounting area which will
also contact and slightly move the plastic brackets
into better position.
• Remove the bidet and finish tightening the lag screws.
• Place bidet back into position, now using smaller screws
and plastic inserts through the hole on the side of bidet
and into the plastic bracket. Slightly tighten screws to
anchor bidet to floor.
