Please read these Assembly and Care Instructions

completely

before

starting to assemble the tent.

General instructions:

Carry out a trial assembly of the tent so that you are familiar with the

important operations and instruction before actually using the tent.

We recommend that the assembly is carried out with the assistance of

a second person, since many of the steps described can be carried out

more easily and quickly in this way.

To assemble the tent, you will need a rubber or steel hammer, and also

a tape measure, in order to mark out your pitch on the site and to

differentiate between the tent poles.

Accessories:

The fixing accessories provided are designed for normal weather

conditions; heavy rain, storms, hail or snow will necessitate addi tional

fixing accessories, such as guy-ropes for supporting the tent in stormy

weather, and ground pegs and tent pegs for more stable attachment

to the ground.

Choosing a site:

Choose a level site wherever possible, free of stones and any sharp

objects, in order to avoid damage of the tent fabric.

Remember that resin from trees and pollen from flowers can also

damage the fabric of the tent, and avoid such locations wherever pos-

sible.

Pitch the tent so that the entrance is sheltered from the wind.

Care:

If the tent is to be sited on damp ground, use a groundsheet in order to

prevent the fabric from getting dirty. After use, the tent should always

be packed away in a dry condition, or at least laid out to dry within

12 hours at the latest, in order to prevent the formation of mould. The

poles should be cleaned of dirt after use, and stored separately from

the tent skin.

Do not clean the tent using chemical cleaning agents or caustic

materials. Simply allow the tent to dry and then brush out the dirt.

The plastic windows should be cleaned only with clean water and a

soft cleaning cloth.

The zip fastenings will continue to operate smoothly if lubricated with

a normal zip fastener spray.

GENERAL:

Check the tent fixing regularly to avoid damages caused by wind. Use

all tension possibilities to make sure that the tent is set up correct and

save. Window flaps and doors should always be rolled up inward, so

that water can run off and does not collect within the rolled-up fabric.

Close doors and windows when wind becomes stronger that the wind

cannot blow up your tent.

Temperature variations may cause the fabric to shrink or expand slight-

ly. These natural properties mean that the pitching of the tent should

be checked regularly and adjusted when necessary.

Temperature variations and natural evaporation from the ground can

lead to the formation of condensation. This effect is not due to lack of

sealing integrity, and can be minimised by means of adequate ventila-

tion or an airtight groundsheet.

Fire precautions:

In order to camp safely, please follow these simple rules: Never place

or use any cooking equipment or open lighting equipment close to

the walls, roof or curtains of the tent, since the fabric is inflammable.

Always observe the safety instructions relating to this equipment. Do

not allow children to play in the immediate vicinity of such equipment

when it is switched on. Always leave clear an exit route from the tent.

Familiarise yourself with the fire safety equipment and precautions ap-

plicable on the camping site, or obtain these instructions from the site

management.

this period, we will correct any faults which are due to material or

Important product information!

Ultraviolet radiation

reduces the tear strength of all tents fabrics dur-

ing their times of use.

Polyester fabric stands it better than nylon but also does not last for-

ever and cannot defy the effect of nature.

UV-radiation is stronger in the southern than in northern countries.

Therefore avoid permanent intensive sunlight for extended periods

of time.

dwt-Zelte will not assume any liability for damage that is caused by

uv-lights.

Temperature variations and natural evaporation from the ground

 can

lead to the formation of condensation. This effect is not due to lack of

sealing integrity, and can be minimised by means of adequate ventila-

tion or a airtight groundsheet.

Moist packed canvas can cause colour fading. Both characters are no

reasons to complain. Be aware that the tent is well ventilated and dryly

packed. Store the tent in a dry room. Separate the frame from the

canvas.
