y On the File menu select the menu option Open Distribution... to
open the standard ’Open’ dialog window.
y Change to the directory where the SGI software package is
stored.
y Select the file

from the SGI directory and confirm your selec-
tion with the button OK .
The dialog window closes and the Software Manager initializes and
prepares for the installation of the software package.
y Press the S
TART
button to begin the installation.
You can monitor the progress of the installation on the progress bar
in the ’Status’ area. It is displaying the percentage of the already fin-
ished installation. When the installation is finished, a dialog message
appears on the screen.
y In this dialog window select the radio button ’Continue with instal-
lations’ and confirm your selection with the
OK button.
