Resistance compensation
Resistance compensation is a feature that enables displaying resistance calculated to reference
temperature. This feature is available when controlling RMO30T from the PC. Two new columns are
displayed in the data table, denoting the calculated resistance values. When the measurement is
performed for the first time the following dialog window is displayed.
If resistance calculation is needed, it is necessary to choose answer “Yes” in the previous window. New
window is displayed for setting required parameters.
One of the parameters is Winding material. User can choose between Copper, Aluminium, or can
manually enter “Tk” value. Values are entered in Celsius degrees. It is also needed to set temperatures
of device under test and reference temperature to which the results are to be calculated.
Measurement units
It is possible to choose measurement units that will be displayed in saved Excel tables. Default
measurement units are in A, mV and m
Ω
. If data should be saved for the first time in current RMOWin-
T5 session, the question is displayed for setting the measurement units.
If user does not want to set new units, then the default ones will be used for saving and
printing measurement results. If the answer is Yes, then the following window is displayed, where user
can choose measurement units. Changing the measurement units is also possible later.
