O P E R A T I N G I N S T R U C T I O N S
•
Allow only responsible, properly instructed individuals to operate your machine. Provide proper training
and carefully supervise inexperienced operators.
•
Use a tractor which meets the tractor requirement contained within this manual. Additional weights may
be necessary.
•
Make sure all bystanders and other workers are clear before starting the tractor and CMF‑830.
•
Make no modifications to the machine unless specifically recommended or requested by DuraTech
Industries.
•
Check periodically for breaks or unusual wear and make any necessary repairs.
•
Securely attach to towing unit. Use high strength, appropriately sized hitch pin with a mechanical
retainer.
•
If required install P.T.O. safety chain, check local regulations regarding safety chain requirements.
•
Be sure that there are no tools lying on or in the CMF‑830.
•
Because it is possible that your CMF‑830 may be used in dry areas or the presence of combustibles,
special precautions should be taken to prevent fires and fire fighting equipment should be readily
available.
•
Do not allow anyone to stand between the tongue or hitch and the towing vehicle when backing up to the
CMF‑830.
DURING OPERATION
•
Be sure the tractor operator is the only person riding on the tractor.
•
Never allow riders on the machine at any time.
•
Keep all bystanders, pets and livestock clear of work area.
•
Keep hands and clothing clear of moving parts.
•
Never enter the CMF‑830 while in operation. Rotating parts can entangle or strike people, resulting in
personal injury or death.
•
Operate the CMF‑830 from the operator’s seat only.
•
Power takeoff shafts must be locked in place with protective P.T.O. shields in place.
