Dear Customer,
Congratulations on purchasing this equipment. Please read this manual carefully and take
care of the following hints to avoid damages. Any failure caused by ignoring the mentioned
items and cautions mentioned in the instruction manual are not covered by our warranty
and any liability.
Glossary of Terms
The following terms will be used repeatedly in this instruction manual and are therefore
defined here:
Motion mode
In this operation mode of the device, the search coil must be moved in
order to find an object. In general, the Motion mode reduces the effect of
earth mineralisation and enables better discrimination.
Non-motion mode
In this operation mode of the device, the search coil must not be perma-
nently moved. So long as the search coil approaches a certain distance to
the metal, the display will be successful. In this mode, metals cannot be
distinguished from each other.
Exclusion
You may exclude certain metals. In this case, no discovery is displayed
upon detection of the metal.
Discrimination
If the device emits various sounds or various displays of metals and if the
device excludes certain metals, we recommend this mode to distinguish
between the metals. This mode is an important feature for professional
work.
Iron
Iron is a common material, and usually not the search target. Unwanted
objects made of iron include, for example, nails, bolts, old cans, lids, etc.
However, ancient relics may also made of iron (armor, old fixtures, etc.).
Ferrous
Metals that contain iron or are made from iron.
Non-ferrous metal
Cans, bottle caps and other waste metals. In your treasure hunt, you
should exclude them. However, some valuable items have the same magne-
tic signature and are thus not detected.
Localise
Through localising you can determine the exact place where an object is
buried. Just as in motion mode, you need to move the search coil when se-
arching continuously. It is difficult to find the exact location. The localisation
mode always works with the Non-motion technology. Align the search coil in
the centre of the location of the buried metal to help you to find it.
Ground balance
The search of metals buried in the earth is affected by earth mineralisation.
The ground balance reduces the shielding effect.
Coin depth
With coin depth the device refers to a silver quarter dollar coin in neutral
earth or similar distance in the air. This distance is only approximate.
