PARENTAL CONTROL
The MultiChoice 933 decoder has a Parental Control feature to restrict viewing of certain
programmes. Access to this feature is controlled by the Parental Control PIN code.
The default Parental Control PIN code is 1234. If you intend to use this feature, we
recommend that you change the Parental Control PIN code and keep note of it in a secure
place. Should you lose or forget your Parental Control PIN code, please call your nearest
MultiChoice Call Centre who will be able to reset the Parental Control PIN to the default 1234.
Note : The MultiChoice Smartcard must be in the decoder in order for you to use or
change the Parental Control PIN code.
ACCESSING THE PARENTAL CONTROL MENU
1.
Press
MENU
to access the Main Menu.
2.
Using the arrow keys, highlight Parental
Control and press
OK
.
3.
The Security Check screen is displayed
(see picture, top left).
4.
Enter the Parental Control PIN code using
the numeric keys on the remote control.
Note : if you enter the incorrect PIN code,
the Security Check screen will be
displayed again.
5.
The Parental Control sub-menu will be
displayed. This sub-menu has three
options (see picture, bottom left) :

Blocking Options
2.
Service Blocking
3.
Change PIN
These three options are explained in detail on the
following pages.
Note :
If the PIN code is entered incorrectly
5 times, this feature will be “locked”. You
will then need to call your nearest
MultiChoice Call Centre to reset the
Parental Control PIN code.
