Baffle/Airflow regulator/Baffle plate
To ensure that the appliance
works satisfactorily,
it will need to be adjusted
according to the
customer-specific pipe system.
The baffle and the baffle plate are
supplied separately and should be
fitted into the heater as indicated
in fig. 6 and fig. 7. Use the
adjustment jig provided (fig. 5) to
adjust the baffle to the right size.
Once it has been adjusted, fix the
damper in place with the socket-
head screw.
To adjust the airflow regulator,
first remove the vermiculite tray,
(fig. 7).
The airflow regulator can be adjusted to 2 mm using the
fork of the template.
Fit the baffle plate: the baffle plate can be hooked into the
vermiculite tray if necessary, as shown in fig. 7.
Connecting the Gas Supply
An approved connecting tap with coupling should be used
in the supply hose (In Belgium this must be B.G.V.
approved). Furthermore:
• Expel all air from the supply pipes/hoses before coupling
to the appliance.
• Do not turn the coupling tap when connecting it to the
gas supply.
• Avoid any pressure on the control tap and pipes.
• Check that all connections are gastight.
Ignition wire
During production the ignition wire is rolled up, as it is
1000/1200 mm long. After installation, insulate the spark
plug wire to avoid leaks or the ignition not working
properly.
NB:
To ensure the ignition works properly, the ignition
wire must come into as little contact as possible with the
metal parts of the heater and should therefore not be
wound round the gas or pilot-light pipes or the
thermocouple.
