N.B.: If you use this switch to turn the fire/mantelpiece
combination off, it will draw no more electricity and we
therefore recommend you use this switch to turn the
fire/fireplace combination off for a longer period of time
(e.g. at night).
Removing the front window
Unplug the fire/mantelpiece combination
Slide the mantelpiece forward with the appliance still in it.
Pull the 230 V plug out of the appliance.
(See figure K)
Unplug the 8-pin plug at the top of the appliance by
pressing the lips at the top and pulling the plug straight up.
(See figures F and G)
Dismantle the 2 brackets that secure the appliance in the
mantelpiece by unscrewing the 4 screws (2 on either side).
(See figure D)
To remove the front pane, remove the lips in the
top corners. Be careful as the glass can easily break
and cause injury.
So take care when removing the glass or
alternatively contact your supplier.
(See figure J)
To do this, unscrew the self-tapping screws.
Reassemble in reverse order.
N.B.: the back window must not be removed.
Using the heater for the first time
When the heating elements are used for the first time
there can be an unpleasant smell, caused by any dust and
the initial heating of the element material.
Ventilate the room well and the smell will soon disappear
once the appliance has been used a few times.
Contact your supplier if the unpleasant smell persists.
