Turning On/Off the Device
1. After connecting the SP1000 to the amplifier, select [AMP]
from the notification bar to turn on the amplifier. The [AMP]
icon will turn dark gray when the amplifier is enabled.
Blue LED light: Amplifier connected.
Red LED light: Amplifier battery is low.
Music playback will pause during activation of the amplifier.
With each activation, the amplifier volume will reset
to the default level.
2. To turn off the amplifier, select [AMP] from the notification bar.
When deactivated, the [AMP] icon will turn light gray.
When connecting or disconnecting earphones/headphones
to the amplifier, or when the gain setting is changed, the
volume of the amplifier will reset to the default level to
prevent any hearing damage.
Prior to disconnecting the SP1000 AMP, please remove your
earphones/headphones to protect your hearing.
When the SP1000 AMP is enabled, sound output from the
SP1000 will be deactivated, including Optical Out.
Optical Out is only available from the 3.5mm Unbalanced
Port of the SP1000.
USB DAC, USB audio, line-out, and CD ripping functions are
not supported when connected to the amplifier.
The amplifier will turn off if there is no user input during the
defined period of time in the Settings Menu of the SP1000.
(If AK CONNECT is turned on, the amplifier may not turn off.)

To separate the SP1000 AMP from the SP1000, press the upper
front part of the SP1000 with your palm gentlly.
