4. Store the chemical protective suit in a dark, cool, dry and
airy place without pressure or stress. Keep out of UV light
and direct sunlight; avoid ozone.
Observe the storage temperature (see Chap. 9 on
Page 24).
For stationary storage:
Store the chemical protective suit flat.
or
Hang up the chemical protective suit; hood or protective
boots must be in contact with the ground.
For storage in a utility vehicle:
1. Fold up the depressurized chemical protective suit
carefully:
Do not bend the suit material, seams and fastener system
in the process.
a. Turn up the protective boots twice.
b. Place the sleeves into the centre of the chest section.
Smooth out any creases.
c. Place the head section over the rolled up trouser legs.
2. Store the chemical protective suit in a carrying bag or lying
flat in a storage bay. Avoid wear due to constant friction
against the storage surface.

Disposal
8.1
Withdrawal from service
The chemical protective suit must be withdrawn from service in
the following situations:
It has been damaged and repair is not possible.
It was contaminated and cannot be decontaminated
anymore due to the characteristics of the hazardous
substance.
The suit material has altered: there are visible embrittled
areas, bulges, colour changes, softened areas on the
surface, for example.

8.2
Service life
If unused and if the recommended storage conditions and
maintenance intervals are met, the material properties of the
chemical protective suit are retained for at least 10 years from
the data of manufacture. The service life may be reduced
despite correct storage and servicing if the suit is used
frequently.
8.3
Disposal instructions
The chemical protective suit must be disposed of in
accordance with the applicable regulations.
