Description
2.2 Intended use
For rapid measurement of breath alcohol concentration – for example
for diagnosis of vascular injuries in the urology during transurethral
resections of the prostata, TUR–P, or in the gynaecology during
transcervical resections of the endometrium, TCRE, after previous
application of an ethanol containing rinsing solution, at the emergency
reception area for testing patients for previous alcohol consumption, or
for the detection of alcohol consumption before methadone
substitution.
2.3 Device symbols and displays
The measured breath alcohol value is specified in the basic device
setting, in the unit of mg/L (= milligrams of ethanol per litre of breath).
The device can be converted to all common units of measurement.
