Adjust Parking
Brake Nut
Tool Needed:
•
3/4" socket with extension
1.
Loosen the wheel nuts a couple of turns with the
wheel on the ground.
2.
Block the machine so the wheel to be removed is
off the ground.
3.
Remove the three nuts and slide the wheel off
(
Figure 27
).
4.
Replace the wheel and finger-tighten the wheel
nuts before unblocking the machine.
5.
Tighten the wheel nuts with the wheel resting on
the ground.
Remove Nuts
Tool Needed:
•
1/2" open end wrench
To adjust the parking brake, tighten or loosen the nut
shown in
Figure 28
.
Tightening the nut (clockwise)
will increase pressure and loosening the nut
(counterclockwise) will decrease the pressure on the
brake pad.
