Make sure the power supply is at the rated voltage of the appliance.
b)
Ground the heat pump.
c)
WARNING: Before obtaining access to terminals, all supply circuits must be
disconnected.

Wire system connection (Heat Only):
The inverter models have a temperature sensor for temperature automation control.
a)
Install wires from the automation controller for ‘Heat’ on the terminal strip inside
the heat pump’s electrical compartment on the side of the heat pump;
b)
Remove the jumper wire on the terminal block from terminals marked #5 and #6;
c)
Install the automation control wires for ‘Heat’ to terminals #5 and #6;
d)
Set temperature setting on the heat pump to 104℉ (40℃).
NOTE:
When the automation controller has a HEAT command the unit will be in the
HEAT mode. When the automation controller does not have a HEAT command the unit
will be in the OFF mode.
