Installation requi-
rements
The appliance must be connected tightly to a well-
functioning chimney.
Dovre does not pay for the costs incurred for dis-
mantling the hearth for work done on the heat
exchanger.
Consult the appendixes for the technical data, con-
nection dimensions, wiring diagram and operation
diagram.
Buffer tank
If the fireplace can be used only at full load, a buffer
tank is essential.
The buffer tank must have a minimum capacity
of 350 litres; a buffer tank of about 500 litres is
recommended.
Installation
This chapter only describes the installation of the fol-
lowing parts:
Insulating cover
An insulating cover consisting of panels is fitted
around the fireplace and the heat exchanger. The
bottom panels are fitted to the sides and the rear of
the fireplace, and the top panels are fitted on all
sides of the heat exchanger.
Inside the panels of the insulating cover you put
Rockwool HT600 50mm
or equivalent insulating
material. By fitting the insulation, you get the hig-
hest efficiency.
Fitting the heat exchanger
Operating the flue gas valve
The heat exchanger has a flue gas valve, which
you open before opening the door of the fireplace.
This prevents smoke escaping from the fireplace
when the draught up the chimney is weak and you
open the door of the fireplace. You open/close the
flue gas valve by pulling out/pushing in a knob on
the outside of the insulating cover. This knob is con-
nected to the flue gas valve on the heat exchanger
inside the insulating cover by means of a cable.
Placing the thermostat sensors for the pump
control and cold-water protection mechanism
Installing the insulating cover
- first part
1. Remove all removable parts, such as inner plates,
baffle plate and grate, from the fireplace. This
makes it easier to move the appliance and to avoid
damage by and to loose parts. See the fireplace
manual for more information.
2. Tilt the fireplace on its back.
3. Fit the base with the adjustable feet and the
bottom plate of the insulating cover to the under-
side of the fireplace (see fig. 09.20007.013).
a. Fit the locking nuts (M10) to the adjustable
feet.
b. Screw the adjustable feet into the base.
c. Screw the four studs (M6x20) into the bottom
plate of the fireplace.
d. Position the bottom plate of the insulating
cover and the base under the fireplace bottom
plate and screw them tight using four nuts (M6)
and washers.
4. Put the appliance in the right place, and make sure
it is level.
5. Fit the bottom side panels of the insulating cover,
followed by the bottom rear panel.
