3.3.2. Installation Instructions
General directions
•
Ducts and vent sleeves must be at least 50 mm away from all combustible
material.
•
Both the air intake and flue gas exhaust pipes of the terminal must be connected
to the collars of the stove, by insertion into each other to a minimum of 30 mm
and must be secured by the use of a locking band, part no. USKB 10, or stainless
steel screws.
•
For outlets in the vicinity of adjoining property or ventilation openings you must
refer national and local regulations.
Choice of the outlet area
•
The flue gas outlet can reach a temperature of 200
°
C. Therefore, it is important
to choose the outlet area with care in order to prevent any person from possibly
coming into contact with the flue gas outlet.
•
The temperature of the flue gasses from this type of unit can run as high as ca.
400
°
C. Outlets beneath overhangs and awnings can be dangerous due to the
accumulation of hot combustion gasses and are therefore not permitted.
Horizontal terminal through non-combustible material
1.
Make a hole diameter 152 mm in the house wall in such a way that the air intake
sleeve slopes down to the
outside.
Height of hole centre: 460
mm from floor level where
stove is placed.
Angle: inclination: 1 to 3 %.,
down to outside.
2.
Determine the length of the
terminal and shorten it if
necessary.
Total length from flange =
thickness of wall + cle
insertion length on appliance
collar. Inner pipe can be left a
little longer than outer pipe in
order to ease connection to
the stove.
