LEAVES AND DEBRIS
Some leaves and other debris will collect on your safety cover. These
materials must be removed in a timely manner to ensure proper wear of your safety
cover. You should check the tautness of your straps if you notice excess leaves
or debris collecting on your safety cover. Under normal conditions, proper
tautness should prevent this from occurring.
WATER COLLECTING ON A SOLID SAFETY COVERS WITH MESH DRAIN
Water should not collect on a solid safety cover with a mesh drain
window. If water is collecting on your solid safety cover you will need to adjust
the straps to pitch the water to the mesh drain window.
1.
Loosen the four straps that border the mesh drain window.
2.
Tighten the straps that are outside or surrounding the
accumulation of water.
3.
The water might need assistance to begin moving toward the
mesh drain window.
i.
Temporarily push down on the safety cover near the
mesh drain window to force accumulated water to
drain.
ii.
In some situations, you may need to add weight to the
area the cover near the mesh drain window.
4.
Wait 2 to 3 days to allow the solid safety cover to

then
use a hose to flood the solid safety cover with water to ensure
the cover is draining properly.
5.
Repeat steps 1-4 as necessary to ensure proper drainage.
SOLID SAFETY COVERS WITH PUMPS
Solid safety covers without mesh drain windows must use a pump to
remove excess water from the top of the cover. The pump must be used
at all times when the solid safety cover is installed on the pool. Check to
make sure your pump is running properly if you see excess water
collecting on the top of your solid safety cover. If the pump is not running
properly it must be replaced immediately to prevent damage to your solid
safety cover. Failure to use the pump in accordance with the above will
void your warranty.
