WLAN->MAC Address Control:
The settings for restricting access to your private network via white-listing of
authorized clients.
MAC Address Control
enables or disables the MAC address fi ltering on
the MAC addresses under
WLAN->MAC Address Control
.
MAC Address control is a security function that limits which clients
can access your private network and the public Internet through your
3GN. Enter the MAC address of the client that you want to grant
access to your network (the MAC address of a client running Microsoft
Windows can be obtained by clicking on the
Start
button and then
Run
. Type
cmd
and press enter. Then type
ipconfi g /all
in the command
prompt and press enter. The MAC address is found on the physical
address line). Click on
Add to list
. Note that the function is enabled or
disabled under
WLAN->WLAN Properties
. Disabling the function does
not clear the
MAC Address Control
List.
