6.3
Withdrawing read/write authorization
(LEGIC only)
Read/write authorisation must be withdrawn in the following cases:
•
If the Remote reader is no longer intended to write to write-protected segments on a me-
dium.
•
If the Remote reader is no longer intended to read read-protected segments on a me-
dium.
In this chapter, the term ‘write authorisation’ shall be used to refer to both ‘write authorisa-
tion’ and ‘read authorisation’.
In this chapter, the term ‘write access’ shall be used to refer to ‘write access’ and ‘read ac-
cess’.
6.3.1
Withdrawing all write access issued via a write authorization
•
Reset the remote reader to the basic state.
6.3.2
Withdrawing individual write access issued via a write authorisation
Delete the relevant stamp using the LEGIC prime SAM 64 card.
The signal is output by the registration unit at which the card is presented.
Requirement
•
A LEGIC prime SAM 64 card with the relevant segment range is required in order to with-
draw write authorisation.
•
The Remote reader is in normal operation and is awaiting an RFID input.
Procedure
1.
Present the LEGIC prime SAM 64 card to the connected registration unit and hold it there
for approx. 15 seconds.
ð
The green light on the Registration unit registration unit will illuminate during this pro-
cedure.
ð
3x beep: Write authorisation has been withdrawn
If the write authorisation has already been withdrawn with the same LEGIC prime
SAM 64 card, this will be signalled immediately by way of three beeps.
ð
No signal: write authorisation has
not
been withdrawn.
