3.3 Emergency power supply
(optional)
Terminals with integrated emergency power supply also have
a rechargeable battery and a rechargeable battery card.
The voltage is connected here on the ST201 on the rechar-
geable battery card and forwarded to the basic TP4 card via
a connection cable.
The behaviour in the event of a power failure depends on
the configuration of the terminal.
Either the terminal goes into standby mode after an adju-
stable time and the terminal is reactivated by pressing the
E-key on the keyboard, or the terminal remains switched on
permanently.
In emergency power mode DCW sub-devices can also be
supplied as well. If the terminal is in standby mode, it can
also be activated by an entry on a sub-reader.
When using the rechargeable battery card in an
L6R, only DCW sub-devices can be connected.
