Opening the shade
Please note:
Ensure that the sun shade
has a sufficiently secure position, that is,
that the proper base is used.
1. Remove the hook and loop strip and,
if necessary, the protective sleeve.
2. Open the shade roof slightly by hand
(see Figure
I
).
3. Push the red notch lever

4. Take hold of the slider

on the han-
dle

and pull it down (see Figure

).
In the process, make sure that the
slider

locks into one of the notch-
es

in the lower shade pole section
(see Figure

).
5. If applicable, push the slider

down
with your foot so that the sun shade is
better tensioned (see Figure

).
Closing the shade
Please note:
The shade must be closed
in the event of incoming wind, rain or
snow. Damages occurring as the result
of failure to do so are excluded from the
warranty.
1. Pull the slider

down somewhat so

can be unlocked

3. Pull the slider

up to close the sun
shade (see Figure

).
4. Finish by pushing the shade roof brac-
es together (see Figure
Q
).
5. Attach the hook and loop strip. If applica-
ble, cover the sun shade with a protec-
tive sleeve (Article no.: 85399GO5X5;
not included in the package contents).
Care + storage
To clean the cover, it is best to use a soft
brush and a small amount of a soapy
solution.
Clean the shade pole regularly to en-
sure that the mobile parts slide properly.
If necessary spray with a silicon or Tef-
lon lubricant spray.
Check all load-bearing parts such as
braces, screws etc. regularly.
Check the shade stand regularly for rust
spots and clean away if necessary. Use
only a small amount of soap solution for
cleaning.
During the winter, disassemble the sun
shade in a completely dry state and store
it in a dry, well-ventilated area.
At the start of the season ensure that all
components and fixings are secure. If
you are unsure, do not use the product.
Warranty
The warranty period for this product is
24 months.
If you discover a defect during this time,
please consult your vendor. To ensure
that the vendor is able to promptly assist
you, please have your sales slip ready
and specify the model name and prod-
uct number.
The warranty does not cover:
– Normal wear and tear and discoloura-
tion of the textile cover;
– Damage to the paint coat attributed to
normal wear and tear;
– Damage as the result of improper use
(e.g. for protection against rain);
– Damages caused by wind, overwind-
ing the crank, the shade falling over,
excessive pulling on the shade brac-
es;
– Damages due to structural modifica-
tions to the product.
