Start By:

Remove steer wheels.
NOTE:
The procedure to remove and install the
steering knuckle, kingpin, and bearing is the
same for both sides of the lift truck.
1.
Remove two bolts (2) and pin retaining plate (3).
2.
Remove tie rod pin (1) and separate tie rod
(4)from knuckle (5).
3.
Remove the top grease nipple (6).
4.
Remove the king pin retaining bolt (7) and nut (8).
For purposes of reassembly, the torque for bolt (7)
is 11 ± 1 N

ft).
5.
Remove the king pin (9).
