STEP 4: ACTIVATING THE DEVICE
If the device is to be supplied with power by a mains adapter, plug the power
adapter of the device into a wall socket. If the device is to be powered via PoE,
switch on the PoE switch/ PoE injector which is connected to the device.
The diagnostic LED indicates whether the device is supplied with power. This
LED lights up after about 30 to 60 seconds after you have connected the power
supply. The device is now ready for operation.
LED is permanently lit: The device is connected to the Internet
LED flashes every 3 seconds: The device has no internet connection
LED flashes every second: The device has no network connection
After you have connected the device to the power supply, the diagnostic LED
turns off within 5 minutes. If the diagnostic LED does not light up, please
check the power supply. If you use the mains adapter instead of PoE, check
in particular whether the plus and minus poles are connected correctly to
the device.
15 VDC +
15 V DC Power supply input, positive pole (+). Please
connect the red wire of the power supply unit (mains
adaptor) supplied with this device if you do not
power the device using PoE.
Do not power the device simultaneously via
the power supply from the power supply
unit (mains adaptor) and the power supply
via PoE.

Door intercom communication bus. Use the
“Universal connection cable”. The DoorBird
App will explain later how to connect it (see
STEP 6).
NOTICE
Please take care when connecting the cables and wires. Connecting
the cables and wires the wrong way may damage the device. Wires
without insolation material must not protrude out of the green screw
connection terminal, it may lead to electrical short and damage
the device.
