c. Poor contact of carbon brushes

of rotor or stator

nearly short circuited or broken
c. Carbon brush spring weakened
and poor contact of carbon brush

Abnormal sound from generator

Check and replace with a new one if necessary
Examine carbon brush size and spring force,
repair or replace whichever if necessary
