3 General Information
NOTICE:
To avoid excessive steering loads, and to get
the best steering performance, the outboard motor, tilt
position, or trim tabs
must
be adjusted as instructed in
the motor manufacturer’s operation manual.

Where BRP is noted in this manual, it includes BRP,
Evinrude, and Johnson outboard engines.
A four-bolt hole mounting pattern is required on the
outboard engine.
The XPA is designed to accept all single cable Dometic
rotary or rack and pinion steering cables.
This section provides general information,
recommended tools, and the XPA dimensions and
clearances required for installation.

while installing the XPA.
