Automatic Backwash Valve Quick Set-Up Guide

Your Dolphin Whole Home System’s automatic backwash valve

has four cycles (a double backwash and a double rinse). The

valve control has a “child proof” configuration which requires

the depressing of the required setting button for a 3-5 second

period before being able to change any setting. This feature

prevents “accidental” changing of the settings.

Basic Operations

A

BLUE

status light indicates all is normal.  The LED window

will normally be indicating the “Time of day”.

A

GREEN

status light indicates when the unit is in a Backwash

(regeneration) mode, unless an error condition exists.

(LED will

indicate which cycle is in operation).

RED

status light illuminates when there is an error condition.

For normal day to day valve operation you will see the Blue

light and the LED time of day window will indicate the follow-

ing: “SRV” telling you the valve is “In Service”, the Time of Day,

and how many days until the next “REGEN”

(Backwash)

 will

take place.

If the “time of day” is blinking, it is an indication there was a

power interruption to the valve. The reason the time is blink-

ing is to draw your attention to this fact, and is asking you

to verify that the time displayed on the LED is correct.  If it is

correct, press either the up or down button one time.  If the

time is not correct, see “Set Time of Day” below. The valve

computer is capable of keeping the correct time of day for up

to 12 hours of power loss.  However, the valve itself will not

function without power.
