Next plug the valve electrical cord back in and allow the unit
to complete the remaining cycles.
After the last cycle has completed, initiate another complete
back wash by depressing the “Backwash” button for 3-5 seconds
and let the unit run through the complete cycle.
AT THIS TIME OPEN THE OUTLET PORTION OF THE
BY-PASS VALVE SO FILTERED WATER WILL FLOW
INTO THE HOME.
It is not uncommon to experience air and small carbon fines
in your water during the first few days after installation.
Occasionally in systems with high water pressure it is also
not uncommon to experience fines immediately after the
periodic backwash cycle takes place. Should you have a
water system with high water pressure it is recommended
to install our optional 5 Micron Sediment Filter (Part #7504)
after your Dolphin Whole Home Filtration filter. This polishing
filter will trap the fines generated during the backwash cycle.

Should you experience a loss of water pressure it is recom-
mended to initiate a backwash by depressing the “extra cycle”
button for 3-5 seconds. This should restore any pressure loss if
the loss is due to the filter becoming clogged. The By-pass
valve is to be kept in the “service” position. Should you ex-
perience any problems with your system you may place the
by-pass valve in the “bypass” position until the problem can
be fixed.
