Outside Air Temperature and/or Humidity Sensor Radiation Shield
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The radiation shield protects an outside air temperature and/or
humidity sensor from rain and radiated heat. Designed with curved
shapes and the light colour of the plates, airflows are able to move
across the sensor keeping radiated temperatures from sun, rooftops
and surrounding surfaces from affecting the sensor readings.
For ease of installation the shield has integral pipe mounting fittings.
These fittings can also be removed for surface mounting. The fittings
are specifically designed for mounting in outdoor conditions. DOL 12
temperature or DOL 114 temperature and humidity sensor can
easily be installed using the sensor retainer in Figure 3.

PLACEMENT
Place the shield in open air without impact from hot or cold surfaces e.g. houses or other objects.
We recommend placing the radiation shield 2 m (6.5 ft.) above the ground or rooftop level as illustrated in Figure 2.
