Converting audio-CDs into MP3 files (Ripping)
This device can convert the titles from audio CDs into MP3 file format and write onto discs
that are connected to the device. This is how you will proceed:
1. Insert the CD of which you wish to convert the tracks.
2. Connect the storage device with the device on which the MP3 files are to
be written.
3. With the help of the navigation buttons

, select the button “Ripping”
and then press the ENTER button. The following menu is displayed:

button followed by the ENTER button to select the desired
storage device (destination).
5. Now using the

/ENTER buttons, select the desired CD titles and then
they are marked with the
P
sign. You can also use “Select All” to select
all the titles of the CD.
6. Now select “Rip quality” and then press the ENTER button to define the
conversion quality. “Normal” is for a 128 kbps conversion, “High” is for 192
kbps and “Best” is for 320 kbps.
7. To start the conversion process, press the

button. “Ripping start” is dis-
played and then press the ENTER button.
8. The selected CD titles are now played, compressed and written on the se-
lected data carrier. Remove the storage device before this process
ends or there could be a loss of data.
9. To cancel the process, press the ENTER button. The device asks for a con-
firmation. Select the field “Yes” using the

button and then press ENTER.
10. The device has a sub directory called “RIPPING FOLDER” in which data car-
riers are created in which the MP3 files can be found.
