7.3. Checking the gas springs
GALAXY tabels are equiped with gas springs that adjust the front section angle (CLASSIC, -S2/S2-H,
-S3/S3-H, -S4/S4-H, -S5/S5-H, -P3/P3-H, -P5/P5-H and E-S2/E-S2-H), middle section (P3-H and -P5-
H) and rare section (-S3/S3-H, -S5/S5-H, -P3/P3-H and -P5/P5-H). To ensure proper performance of
the gas springs check the springs visually for leaks every 3 months. Any perceived performance
deficiency or leak must be reported to Meden-Inmed technical service immediately.
7.4. Checking the actuators
GALAXY tables are equipped with electric actuators with push function (spline) (does not apply to a
table with a hydraulic height adjustment system), for height adjustment of the bed (CLASSIC, -S2, -
S3, -S5, -P3, -P5 and E-S2) and for adjustment of the middle section angle (-P3, -P5). The electric
actuators there should be inspected once every quarter for proper action and for sounds other than
during normal operation, such as strokes,, squeaks, scuffs.. Any defects in the operation of the
actuator should be reported immediately to DJO for technical service and operation of the table
stopped until the cause of the fault has been removed.
7.5.
Periodic check of electrical safety
(
not applicable to -H models
)
The electrical safety check should be performed or ordered not less than once every 2 years, and
each time after the breakdown/repair of the
table/ table automation, the user’s technical service must
perform or commission a table review for electrical safety. The minimal scope of the review should
include:
- checking if there was no mechanical damage of wiring system of the table;
- checking if there was no mechanical damage of actuators and control case;
- an examination of the height adjustment and pivot function switches;
- electrical safety tests should be performed according to PN-EN 62353.
Protective earth resistance should be performed at the point
