With weakest hand at
belt path, tilt and push the
base forward and back,
and from side to side. If
the LATCH belts do not
loosen, your child
restraint should be
secure.

NOTE:

Some “play” from

front to back or about an

inch from side to side is acceptable.
If the child restraint does not remain tight, do not use
the child restraint in this seating location with this
LATCH system.

Make sure level line on
side of shell is level to
ground. Adjust base if
needed.

With child secured in
child restraint, attach to
base. Align notches in the
front of shell with the
bars in the base. Push
down firmly to lock into
place. You will hear a
“click” when it is locked.
Pull up to make sure it is
locked into place.

WARNING

!

Failure to securely attach child restraint to
base can result in serious injury or death.

To Adjust Base:
Pull the adjustment lever
and either lift or lower
front of base.
If you have a non-
adjustable base, refer to
the “Troubleshooting”
section.

To Remove Seat From
Base:
Pull up on red handle on
back of child restraint and
lift restraint off base.

To release LATCH:
Push in on release
button and pull LATCH
adjuster away from child
restraint to loosen.
Unhook LATCH hooks.

Push down firmly on the
base and pull up on the
loop to tighten belt.

LATCH hooks MUST be securely fastened.
Failure to do this can result in serious
injury or death.
