6.1 Range extension
The DITECH Smart Home iL Pluggable Switches DT5645/DT5646 can be used as
repeaters for extending the radio signal range, for the stand-alone solution of the
base station (FAL) as well as for the DITECH Smart Home iL central unit via app.
Up to 2 devices can be used per network in series as repeaters.
DITECH Smart Home iL central unit (App)
The integration as a repeater into the system is performed as follows:
1. Select the device in the device overview of the app.
2. Activate “Range extender”.

Stand-alone operation
The integration as a repeater into the system is performed as follows:
1. Connect the device to a fixed wall power socket. The teach-in mode is auto-
matically activated for three minutes.
2. Press the system key at the DITECH Smart Home iL base station until the sys-
tem LED flashes.
3. Press the system key pluggable switch / pluggable switch and meter (see “De-
vice overview” page 26) until the system LED flashes.
9 The range extender is active. The teach-in mode is active. The LEDs of both de-
vices light up.
