Sending Discrete Power On and Off

Discrete power ON and power OFF IR commands are used when programming macro
commands into universal remotes. Using an ON-only or OFF-only command is more
effective than a toggle ON/OFF command when trying to make sure the dish antenna is
reliably in one state or the other. To send a discrete power ON or OFF command, use the
following steps:

Program the remote control to control all the devices that you would like to control.
2
Press SAT until all the Mode buttons light up.
3
Press POWER.
4
Press VOLUME UP for discrete power on. Press VOLUME DOWN for discrete power off.
5
Press any button to end this procedure.
