Note: If the Starter Kill is installed, the vehicle will benefit from a protection against starter
motor damage that could occur after remote-starting the engine should the user, by force of
habit, turn the ignition key to the
CRANK position.
The Starter Kill (if installed) can be configured by the installer either to Passive Mode (so as to arm
automatically) or Active Mode (so as to require the user’s intervention for arming). By default, your
Remote Car Starter is configured to Passive Mode .
Passive mode:
To arm the Starter Kill, press the button on the transmitter, OR
1. In Passive Mode , the Starter Kill will automatically arm 1 minute (by default) or 3
minutes (if configured this way) after the ignition is turned OFF or once the last door is
closed (if the doors are monitored).
2. The LED on the antenna will flash quickly during the countdown preceding the activation
of the Starter Kill.
3. Once the activation countdown expires, the LED will send a series of quick double
flashes to indicate that the Starter Kill is now armed.
To disarm the Starter Kill, press the button on the transmitter.

The Starter Kill will automatically rearm itself after 1 minute (by default) or 3 minutes (if
configured this way) if no door is left opened (if the doors are monitored) and the ignition
is not turned
ON .
Active Mode:
To arm the Starter Kill, press the button on the transmitter.
1. The parking lights will flash once.
2. The LED on the antenna will flash slowly.
3. If remote door locks are installed, this will also lock the doors and arm the OEM-style
alarm.
To disarm the Starter Kill, press the button on the transmitter.
1. The parking lights will flash twice.
2. The LED on the antenna will remain OFF .
3. If remote door locks are installed, this will also unlock the doors.
Remote-Starting Your Vehicle
Setting Your Vehicle into Ready Mode
If your vehicle has a manual transmission you must read the following indications. The unit must
first be set to Ready Mode in order to start the vehicle by remote. If the unit is not set to Ready
Mode, it cannot remote start the vehicle.
Please note that Ready Mode can be enabled by the remote or the handbrake, depending on the
option that was selected by your installer. Therefore, you must follow the appropriate procedure
between the two described below in order to set your vehicle into Ready Mode.
Once the system is set to Ready Mode, the vehicle can be remote started and stopped at any time.
The system will exit Ready Mode if a door, the hood or the trunk is opened, if the brake pedal is
pressed, if the parking brake is disengaged or if the ignition key is turned to the
IGNITION ON
(RUN) position.

défaut) ou 3 minutes (si configur é de cette façon) apr ès que le commutate ur d’allum age
ait été mis en position d’arrêt ( OFF) ou une fois la der nière por tiè re refer mée (si les
portières sont sur veillées) .
2. Le voyant à DEL sur l’antenne clignoter a ra pidement lor s du compte à r ebour s
précédan t l’activation du dispositif antidémar rage.
3. Une fois le com pte à rebo urs t erm iné, le voyant à DEL e nverra u ne sé rie de doubles
clignotements r apides afin d’i ndiquer que l’antidéma rre ur est m aintenant ar mé.
Pour désarmer le dispositif antidémarr ag e, app uyez sur le bo uton de la télécommande.

Le dispositif antidémarrag e se réar mera aut omatiquement de lui -m êm e 1 minute (par
défaut) ou 3 minutes ( si configur é de cette façon) si aucune por tière n’est laissée
ouverte (si les por tières sont su rveil lées) et si le com mutateur d’allumag e n’est pas mis
en position de ma rche (ON).
Mode ac tif:
Pour armer le dispositif antidémarr age, appuyez su r le bout on de la télécommande.
1. Les feux de stationnemen t clignoteront une fois.
2. Le voyant à DEL sur l’antenn e clignoter a lentement.
3. Si le verro uillag e des po rtiè res à distance est i nstallé, les po rtièr es seron t ver rou illées et
l’alarme de type d’origine sera armée .
Pour désarmer le dispositif antidémarr ag e, app uyez sur le bo uton de la télécommande.
1. Les feux de stationnemen t clignoteront deux fois.
2. Le voyant à DEL sur l’antenne d em eur era éteint.
3. Si le verro uillage des p ort ière s à distance est installé, les po rtièr es sero nt
déver rouillée s.
Pour faire dé marrer votre véhicule à distance

Si votre véhicule est muni d’une transmission ma nuelle , vous devez lir e attentivement les
instructions suivantes. Pour pouvoir démarr er à distance, le télédémar reu r doit êtr e d’abor d mis en
mode prêt à démarre r . Si l’unité n’est pas en mode prêt à démarre r , il ne sera pas possible de faire
démarrer le mote ur à distance.
Veuillez noter que le mode prêt à démarrer peut être activé à l’aide de la télécommande ou du
frein de stationne ment, selon l’option choisie par votre installateur. Pa r conséquent, vous devez
suivre la procédure ap prop riée parmi les deux déc rites ci -dessous afi n de f aire passer votre
véhicule en mode prêt à démar rer .
