This section describes how to use the write-protect switch on the
QIC tape.
Switch
Positions
You can write-protect a QIC tape to prevent accidental
overwriting or erasure of the data on that tape. Before using a
QIC tape, check the position of the write-protect switch (

following table describes the two positions of the write-protect
switch:
