Serial port
TX54 devices have a single serial port that provides access to different features, depending on the
serial port mode selection.

for your device.
Serial mode options
You can choose a serial mode option for each serial port, depending on the feature that you want to
use.

: Allows the port to be used to log into the CLI.
n
: Provides socket level access to ports.
n
: Provides access to the serial device from Python applications.
n
: Provides access to the serial port using UDP.
n
: Allows the device to function as a Modbus protocol gateway.
Add a USB serial port
Your TX54 can be configured to support USB-to-serial adapters for serial access to the device, remote
serial out-of-band (OOB) access to other devices, or for use in python applications. See
