Rock mode (Manual mode)
Galileo Series 2 microtome is equipped with a conventional sectioning procedure that allows a complete rotary movement of
handwheel; Rock mode allows handwheel movement forward and backward and vice versa according to user needs.
Due to this rocking movement (forward and backward) it is possible to do sections at half rotation saving sectioning times
6.5
Handwheel calibration system
Galileo Series 2 microtome provides the handwheel calibration by the user.
In case of intervention, the user can adjust handwheel calibration using adjusting screw (hole in instrument lower side).
Remove waste tray and move the handwheel forward (3 o’clock) and leave it in this position:
•
If the handwheel goes to the upper part, adjust the screw under-clockwise
•
If the handwheel goes to the lower part, adjust the screw clockwise
After calibration, make sure that handwheel rotation is uniform and there is no upwards or downwards drift.
ATTENTION
If possible, contact Diapath staff for these procedures
