ELECTRIC PLATE
GENERAL INFORMATION
The plate body is in thick cast iron, the frame is in stainless steel.
The plate is treated with a protective thermic point.
It is suggested you should preheat the plate before cooking (3-5 minutes on the 3RD switch position, the switch has 6
po 0).
The perfect pot should be slightly convex, so that the bottom of the top might adhere to the plate.
This allow a complete utilization of the heat avoiding any energy loss; to make sure that the bottom of the late is the ideal
one, use a ruler or the corner of the range.
IMPORTANCE OF THE POT THE COOKING
The bottom of the pot, as evidenced by various researches, is determinant to be able to reach a good cooking without any
energy loss.
The pot can be only slightly convex, since the heat makes it expand and consequently adhere to the plate. The pot convexity
should be maximum of:
The dimension of the pot is very important.
Don’t use any pot with inferior dimensions than the plate, in this case you might have water and energy loss.
A coffee-pot causes in general the plate to crack.
Put only dry pots on the plate and never wet lids.
IMPORTANT:
For all kinds of plates, it is recommended to use pots with plane bottom without any deformation.
The diameter of the pot must be the same or slightly superior (never inferior) than the one of the plate.
NEVER LET THE PLATES OPERATE WITHOUT ANY POT ON IT
WARNING
Before connection or in case the plate hasn’t been used for long it is necessary, in order to eliminate the eventual absorbed
humidity, to have it dried setting the knob to position 1 for 30 minutes.
-
Dry the pot bottom before putting it on to the plate.
-
Connect only after having put the pot on to the plate.
-
After using, for a good maintenance, the plate must be greased with a cloth and oil so that the surface appears always clean
and bright.
-
This necessary operation from eventual risks of rusting.
