VI. INSTRUCTIONS FOR
THE USER
1. INFRARED COOKTOP USE
• The 1/2 module cooktops have two 2200 W radiating zones.
The 1 module cooktops have four 2200 W radiating zones.
• All the radiating zones have a temperature limiter that
switches off the power when the temperature reaches the
max. value. The limiter resets automatically.
• For correct use and to obtain energy-saving, observe the
following:
- position the pot before switching on the hot-plate;
- do not leave the hot-plate on when the pot is empty or has
been removed;
- do not spill cold liquids on the hot-plate when hot.
1.1. CHOICE OF CONTAINERS
- All types of metal containers with a smooth bottom that
does not scratch the vitroceramic can be used.
- Make sure container bottoms are clean and dry before
use.
- The diameter of the bottom of containers must coincide
with that of the cooking zone. The optimum thickness of s/
steel containers is 4 - 6 mm.
- Container bottoms must be perfectly flat in order to offer
better energy transmission.
1.2. SWITCHING ON THE COOKTOP
M
A
F
B
V
• Turn on the main switch located ahead of the appliance.
• To activate middle zone “A” of the relevant hot-plate, turn
knob “M” to the required power, bearing in mind that “1”
corresponds to minimum power and “10” maximum power.
Lighting up of red indicator “F” signals heating of the relevant
radiating zone; it goes off only when the zone temperature
falls below 50° C.
Lighting up of green indicator “V” signals that the power is on.
• To turn on the two concentric areas of each cooking zone
at the same time, turn the knob to “10”, then turn the knob the
other way to the required energy setting.
• To have only one heating zone (middle area) again, turn the
knob pointer to “0” then turn it to the required energy setting.
1.3. SWITCHING THE APPLIANCE OFF
Set knob “M” to position “0”.
2. INDUCTION COOKTOP USE
The cooktop consists of a vitroceramic plate hermetically
fixed to the chrome-nickel steel closed worktop.
2.1. CONTROLS
The induction appliance has 2 or 4 independent round
heating zones that can be adjusted separately. The electric
power of each heating zone is 3.5 kW.
Turn the knob “M” corresponding to the selected zone, to
directly transmit the right power to the pot for cooking the
food.
The knob has 10 settings numbered from “0” to “9”. The power
transmitted to the induction cooktop increases linearly from
“1” to “9”. The relevant zone is deactivated when the knob is
turned to “0”. When the switch is turned on and a suitable pot
is placed on the appliance, the green On light “V” comes on.
If there are no pots or an unsuitable pot on the appliance,
the light flashes at 2-second intervals.
Lighting up of red indicator “R” signals a serious problem in
the inductor. In this case, call an authorised technical assistant.

2.1.1. HOW IT WORKS
The cooker has green On lights “V” located on the right side
of each knob. The lights come on only if the corresponding
induction cooking zone is activated.
The induction cooking system is equipped with a pot
recognition system. If the pot is removed from a turned on
cooking zone, the latter switches off automatically. When the
pot is put back on the zone, the zone switches on again. Pots
of less than approx. 12 cm in diameter are not recognised by
the system; heating remains off. The entire appliance is
switched off if all the knobs are turned to 0. In which case, the
green On light is off.
2.1.2. PREPARATION
The induction cooking plate is ready to use at any
time without preparation. A pre-heat phase is not necessary.
